Creativity, Inc

by Ed Catmull

I have a lot of respect for the films that have come out of Pixar studios. Unfortunately, Creativity Inc missed the mark for me. A lot of it felt like generic business advice without digging into the deeper intrinsic motivations or incentives. Similar to how Disney had an original cast of great animators, the same issues plague Pixar where the majority of successes have come from those that worked on the original toy story and unfortunately, Creativity Inc falls short of truly analyzing this and talking about what’s next.
