Foundation's Edge

by Isaac Asimov

For a long time, I tried to stay away from the rest of the foundation series. Written long after the original trilogy was published, most reviews said that these books simply weren’t as good. But when I finally picked up a copy of Foundation’s Edge, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they were just as good as the original three.

In Foundation’s Edge, we get a plot thriller where we grasp the story bits at a time. It’s like a blind man trying to understand what an elephant looks like, first you feel the legs, then the truck, then the body and finally you have your mental image of an elephant. In Foundation’s Edge, at almost every point, the reader feels like he’s in full control of the story yet Asimov sneaks in twists that completely change the plot. Looking forward to reading the next one.
